So Friday the 25th we Headed up to Buffalo. For some reason I was thinking it was more like 3 hours... But I guess I was thinking from Corning to Niagara Falls. That's probably closer. We took the backroads instead of the highway, cut off 30 miles and still made it in a bit under 2 hours.
Our First stop was the Botanical Gardens.
They had a ton of lovely Hyacinths that smelled WONDERFUL!
The main room has an AWESOME greenhouse area. This picture fails to capture just how big and high it is when you're in the middle looking up. We need one of these when we add on to our house. (:
Then a bit farther in they have this cool Koi pond with a little bridge over it. Just past that is the waterfall. You can actually see it through the plants in this picture.
This was a great waterfall. Seems to be made out of lots of slabs of concrete cut out and stacked up in this pattern.
There were numerous cool dinosaur topiaries as well.
Then we found this neat little bench under an arbor that was completely covered in plants other than the front side. It looked out over a fountain that was a girl splashing in the water.
Here I am back out in the main greenhouse.
And here we are out front! (Looks like it was kinda bright out then.) (: Very Cool! (:
